Carlos Alamino, Jr: Our Race Together
Carlos Alamino was born in Sancti-Spiritus, Cuba on December 1, 1985. He was born in a Christian family where his parents Soledad Matos and Carlos Alamino taught him the gospel values at a very early age. Carlos grew up learning and leading under the shadow of his parents’ leadership.
When he turned 11 he experienced a life changing event when the doctors declared him dead after a tragic car accident where he had his jugular and carotid artery lacerated along with many other severe wounds, but God resurrected him while his dad prayed over him. This became a testimony of God’s power not just for the doctors and the people that evidenced the miracle but for the entire nation. Carlos’ testimony was told in hundreds of evangelistic crusades harvesting thousands of lives making a decision for Christ.
While Carlos desired to pursue a degree in computer engineering, the Cuban government denied him entrance into the government run university as a punishment for his beliefs. As a result, he pursued his passion for music and performed in numerous events and evangelistic crusades across the Island. In 2016, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Music and Theology.
Carlos Married his wife Yanet Alamino on August 10, 2010 and in 2014 they moved to the USA to start Proclaim Cuba, a non profit organization registered in the state of Texas with the goal of supporting the ministry his parents started back in 1991. In 2015 Carlos became the Music Director at Prestonwood Baptist Church Spanish Ministry and in May 2021 he was ordained as a Minister by his church Prestonwood Baptist Church.
Carlos and Yanet Alamino became US citizens in 2020 and with their two children, Kameron and Kyla are faithfully serving the Lord. In January 2022 Carlos Alamino was promoted to Executive Director position at Proclaim Cuba.
